Building a new home in Fraser Rise VIC

Fraser Rise was named in 2017 when the City of Melton carved new suburbs out of Plumpton, and its estates have been filling in ever since. Aspire, Taylors Run and Samara are the names you will see on site boards, with lots in Samara as small as 156 square metres and many Aspire and Taylors Run lots between about 350 and 450. Large two storey homes on those blocks mean long spans and point loads, and our frame reports here most often record trusses landing on the wrong walls and beam connections that do not match the engineering.

Fraser Rise was gazetted as a suburb on 9 February 2017, formed from part of Plumpton.

Samara, by LandxWise at 1176 Taylors Road, has 172 lots with house and land packages from 156 to 366 square metres.

Taylors Run is planned at around 600 lots with close to ten hectares of wetlands.

Aspire, marketed by Oliver Hume, has its site office at 51 Beattys Road.

Ask your builder for the engineering and truss layout before frame stage so the inspection can be measured against them.

FAQ

Building a new home in Fraser Rise VIC: common questions

Which stages matter most on a Fraser Rise build?

Frame and handover. Frame is where structural mismatches with the engineering turn up, and handover is where the water items on a big roof get caught.

Do builders here accept independent inspectors?

Yes. Supervisors on these estates see independent inspectors every week, and your contract does not stop you engaging one.

How far ahead should I ring about a Fraser Rise stage?

A couple of days suits most stages. Tell us about the slab pour as soon as a date is pencilled in, because it moves.
